In order to be eligible for a scholarship under the program an applicant
must have:
- Attended
an Oklahoma high school and graduated during the ten year period
prior to making application,
- Admitted
to an accredited college, university or vocational or other school
in Oklahoma,and
- Demonstrated
a need for financial assistance. We have included a copy of the
current Health and Human Services Poverty guidelines below. Please
be aware that the trustees will not consider applicants
for scholarship whose family income is over 300% of the poverty
level except under special circumstances. (The most recent
poverty tables are included below.) If you feel your family qualifies
for an exception please indicate why in your essay.
In
addition, an applicant must not be related to any director, manager,
or substantial contributor of the Foundation, be employed by any
business of any such person, or be a descendant or dependent of
such an employee.

of your and your parents most recent (1040) tax forms and
W-2s,
Download
the Needs Analysis Form and the
Release of Transcript form.
Print, sign and return to the address above.
If you are a
new student you will also need to include the
following:
Official
transcripts of high school, college, tech, or other institutions
attended,
Results
of any entrance or aptitude tests taken in the last ten years, and
Letter
of recommendation from your employer, teacher and/or professor
The
deadline for all applications is May 15, 2008. Scholarships
are given for attendance at accredited technical schools,
colleges and universities only.
In
awarding scholarships, the Committee will take into account the
applicants prior academic performance, results of tests designed
to measure ability and aptitude, recommendations, financial need,
personal character, ability and motivation of the applicant. All
applicants are expected to also apply for financial aid through
FAFSA, www.fafsa.ed.gov. Applicants
are also required to take out up to a $2,500 loan to pay for their
own education. The amount of the loan that is needed to meet the
requirements is dependent on whether it is a four year institution.
All students attending four year colleges and universities will
need to carry a $2,500 loan each academic year.
Please
be aware that any falsifying of the application, transcripts or
letters of reference constitutes fraud and will result in immediate
dismissal from the scholarship program with the possibility of criminal
charges being filed.
In general, the program is intended to provide scholarships to individuals
who are not likely to obtain the requested assistance from more
conventional sources. Students who may benefit significantly from
the financial support are given priority.
